A routine return at Victoria’s Secret reportedly took an unexpected turn when a cashier asked a customer whether she also wanted to return other items she had never seen before.
The moment was shared on Instagram by a creator who goes by Astra, who was waiting in line behind the woman. According to Astra, the customer was returning a gift her husband had bought for her, and he was standing with her at the counter.
The exchange has since drawn attention online, with commenters weighing in on what the cashier meant.
What Happened at the Counter
Astra said she was waiting her turn when the woman in front of her reached the register.
In her first post, Astra told viewers the woman was returning something her husband had picked out. She joked that he had apparently relied on guesswork. She also claimed that the cashier asked whether the woman wanted to return the other items purchased on the account.
According to Astra, the woman then asked the cashier which items she was referring to. The cashier then reportedly listed lace bodysuits and matching sets that the customer had apparently never seen before. She described them as honeymoon-level purchases and noted they did not appear to be in the woman’s size.
Astra questioned in her video why the cashier would start listing such items at the register. The creator said, “I had never in my life wanted to mind my business less.” She described the moment as the first piece of evidence in an investigation into the husband.
The Husband’s Response
The husband allegedly tried to explain away the purchases, claiming they must have been a mistake. He suggested that his mother might have accidentally used their rewards account. According to Astra, the wife checked her phone as her husband stuttered before calmly pointing out that the purchases coincided with his Thursday golf league.
The cashier then reportedly said she remembered him because he never let his girlfriend use store coupons.
Astra took the comment to mean the extra purchases were meant for the husband’s girlfriend. She joked that the girlfriend seemingly received the premium gifts while the wife got far less.
