Catherine Giudici Lowe recently asked her fans on Instagram for trick-or-treating tips after her son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the reality TV star shared a video asking for diabetes-friendly Halloween ideas for her 8-year-old son, Isaiah Hendrix Lowe.
“Originally, I wanted to share a video of me having tips and recipes for newly diagnosed type one… Halloween tips,” the 40-year-old said in her emotional video.
“I don’t have any, and I need some. So this is our first year with Isaiah being diagnosed, and I need your help to make sure that this first Halloween doesn’t absolutely suck for my boy,” the former Bachelor star explained.

In the video, Catherine further explained that this is her family’s first year adjusting to her son’s diabetes diagnosis.
“I have a feeling it might suck a little bit because he loves candy and I don’t know how to manage all the stuff,” she added.

Admitting that she is new to this situation, the reality television star said, “So if anybody has tips on how to allow my boy to trick or treat and partake in all the Halloween activities, please comment and share.”
“I need to know them — anything that has to do with him or other kids, or tips for our family are welcome,” she concluded her video.
When Was Isaiah Diagnosed With Type 1 Diabetes

In July, Catherine took to social media and confirmed that her son Isaiah had been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
“This past week has been a rough one for the Lowes. Our precious boy Isaiah was admitted to Children’s Hospital and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes,” she wrote.
Posting the family’s life update on Instagram, she explained that her son had recently seen his pediatrician after experiencing a few symptoms.
“This tough boy has endured countless injections, four days away from his home and a lifestyle and routine that feels very very foreign,” Cathrine wrote.

In the post, she noted that Isaiah had lost 11 pounds since his last visit to the doctor.
“Isaiah is my new hero and I am so proud to be his mama. Prayers for him, his siblings and his parents are welcomed as we navigate this new normal,” the TV star wrote.
Catherine is married to Sean Lowe. The pair met and got engaged during season 17 of The Bachelor. Besides Isaiah, they also share 10-year-old son Samuel, 10 and 6-year-old daughter, Mia.
