Anniversary Family Handprint Craft

Anniversary Family Handprint Craft

I love making handprint crafts with my daughter. Because my husband and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary last Thursday. It was difficult for me to select a present that would be worthy of giving on this day out of the many ideas that flooded my mind. The most common anniversary gifts are heart vases, mini projectors, leather strap watches, and gloves.

It was entirely different from what I had in mind for our anniversary. We had a wedding five years ago, and I thought it might be appropriate to use the photos from our wedding (taken by a photographer similar to a Cape Cod wedding photographer) to create something–perhaps framing them as a collage. Honestly, I thought about the idea because I adore my wedding photographs. They are the best memories I have from the day I got hitched. I actually have an entire album with photos arranged sequentially in a manner that visually narrates the story of how the ceremony was –thanks to the photographer, who might have been hired from Jeff Turnbull Photography (an Essex Wedding Photographer) or perhaps the one mentioned above (I do not remember clearly who it was). So, I thought why not use some of the photographic memoirs for my anniversary, which is as important to me as my wedding was? Alternatively, I thought it would be nice to make some handprint crafts since I love doing that as well.

I had planned to make a handprint craft with my entire family. Before our anniversary, I looked on sites like ediblearrangements.com to find the perfect gift for my husband to show how much I love him. All the time as well I was wondering what kind of gift I would receive from him. I wouldn’t say I was expecting diamond anniversary rings (though I think there are many ladies out there who would, but I had my hopes high for sure. I realized after we gave our gifts, our kids are a huge part of our marriage and that we should do something to signify that! so, after browsing ideas for a while, I ultimately decided to make an anniversary family handprint craft with my husband and daughter to celebrate our marriage, which includes the birth of our beautiful daughter. I used our favorite colors — blue, purple, and pink — but you can choose the colors that the members of your family like best.
