Parents who bought Halloween party favors or small toys online should check if they have Bamamon LED Projecting Finger Light Toys at home. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall on October 22, 2026, because children can easily access the toys’ button-cell batteries. Swallowing these batteries can cause serious internal injuries or death.
The recall affects approximately 6,533 units sold on Amazon from March 2025 through August 2026 for about $13 to $14.
Which Bamamon Finger Light Toys Are Affected?

The recall covers Bamamon LED Projecting Finger Light Toys (sold in boxes of 32 finger lights) in red, orange, blue, black, purple, clear, green and yellow.
Each light projects one of eight space-themed patterns (astronauts, rockets, UFOs, galaxies, solar systems), all shown on the front-of-pack labels.
The recalled toys contain three button cell batteries. The CPSC states that children can readily access the battery compartments, so the toys do not meet the applicable safety standard.
Why Are the Finger Light Toys Being Recalled?

Button cell batteries can cause serious internal injury if swallowed. If a battery becomes lodged in the gut, it can cause chemical burns and tissue damage. In the most serious cases, ingestion can be fatal.
Young kids are especially at risk as they’ll put things in their mouths. The batteries in these finger lights pose a serious hazard if children remove them.
No injuries have been reported in relation to this recall. However, the potential seriousness of the hazard means families should stop using the affected toys immediately.
What Should Parents Do If They Own the Recalled Toys?

The CPSC advises consumers to stop using the Bamamon finger lights immediately and contact the company for a refund.
Consumers are to email a photo of the toys in the trash as proof of disposal. Send the photo to bamamonproductrecall@outlook.com.
Button cell batteries are hazardous and should be disposed of in accordance with local battery recycling or hazardous waste procedures. Parents are advised to keep the recalled toys and any loose batteries away from children while they follow the disposal instructions.
Families unsure whether their product is affected can compare it with the product details and photos in the official recall notice.
How Can Parents Reduce Button-Battery Risks?

This recall reminds parents to check battery-operated toys and other household products regularly. Parents can take a few precautions:
- Inspect battery compartments: Make sure covers are secure and hard for children to open.
- Store spare batteries safely: Keep loose button-cell batteries in their original packaging and out of children’s reach.
- Check toys before use: Remove damaged toys, especially those with loose or accessible batteries, from play areas.
- Follow recall notices: Stop using recalled products and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for refunds or disposal.
Finger lights can be very attractive as party favours and little gifts. However, accessible button batteries can turn a relatively inexpensive toy into a significant safety hazard. Checking products and acting promptly on recalls can go a long way to preventing injury to children.
