If you ask any parent or child what the best Halloween cartoons are, you’ll probably hear a dozen different answers. From spooky TV specials to classic animated movies, Halloween cartoons have become a beloved tradition for families — and with so many options to choose from, it can feel impossible to pick just one.
Growing up, my favorite costume was a witch, inspired by my love for Kiki’s Delivery Service. Now, at 31, I’m finally bringing that full circle — dressing up as Kiki this Halloween with my six-month-old black kitten, T’Challa, as my Jiji. Because of my own nostalgic return to Kiki this year, I’m also bringing a mix of that old-school magic — and a few new favorites — to my kids.
While revisiting some of the best Halloween cartoons, I realized there were enough traditionally animated gems to fill an entire list. So, this time around, we’re leaving CGI off the broomstick. These hand-drawn treasures capture the timeless charm of Halloween and remind us why we fell in love with these spooky stories in the first place.
Here are some of the best Halloween cartoons to watch with your kids — and to send you on a nostalgic trip back to your own childhood.
It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown From Charlie Brown (1966)

Halloween isn’t the same without watching this sweet, timeless Halloween special that many generations have grown up with and rewatched for over 50 years. The Peanuts are celebrating Halloween by gathering for a party dressed in their costumes. Linus and Sally wait for the Great Pumpkin only to find a familiar face pop up in the patch instead. Unfortunately, Lucy and the other Peanuts make fun of them for waiting for the Great Pumpkin instead of trick-or-treating and attending the Halloween party.
What “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” Teaches Children: Having patience and dedication to even an unpopular belief is an admirable trait. Kids believe in anything they put their minds to when they are young. Encouraging them to stick to their beliefs will help them become strong, confident adults. My kids (even my eldest 7-year-old daughter) still believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. I will let them have those magical experiences regardless of what others may think.
Garfield’s Halloween Adventure From Garfield (1985)

Garfield and Odie brave their neighborhood streets and a rowboat ride across the river while dressed as pirates. They encounter a haunted house when their rowboat shipwrecks on a deserted island. The homeowner tells them a scary story, then mysteriously disappears. Ghostly apparitions scare Garfield and Odie until they eventually find a way to escape.
What “Garfield’s Halloween Adventure” Teaches Children: Kids will learn lessons about being brave while handling the consequences of their actions. It’s best to stay safe on Halloween and other holiday adventures rather than taking risks that could compromise your safety. I always stress the importance of sticking together with me and not wandering off while trick-or-treating or walking around any other public venues.
This isn’t just one of the best Halloween cartoons to watch with your kids; it’s also one of the most iconic!
Laugh Of The Party From Beetlejuice (Season 1, Episode 5)

Lydia and Claire are both throwing Halloween parties on the same night. Delia also wanted to try throwing a party, but her plans went south. Beetlejuice tries to help Delia get them kick-started by introducing Party People in a Can. However, unaware it was a full moon, the Party People are wreaking havoc throughout Peaceful Pines.
What “Laugh Of The Party” Teaches Children: Sometimes, what may seem like an easy solution to an issue can muddle things up even more. Try to solve the problems with natural solutions rather than seemingly quick fixes. I try to stress this to my eldest daughter whenever I see her doing a half-hearted job of cleaning up her crafts or makeup after use.
Hic Or Treat From Arthur (Season 11, Episode 7a)

D.W. experiences hiccups near Halloween. Arthur continually tries to sneak up on his sister to scare the hiccups out of her. She lets him know what scares her most, such as octopuses and Dark Bunny. She eventually accepts she won’t get rid of them and decides to dress up as Hiccup Girl. What kills her hiccups is her mom accidentally unplugging a lamp in the house, then turning on a flashlight to see. The flashlight lands on Arthur while he’s in his Frankenstein costume, scaring the hiccups right out of D.W. Before the episode ends, Arthur starts hiccupping.
What “Hic Or Treat” Teaches Children: Unexpected occurrences can happen near holidays, but using a predicament to one’s advantage is a creative coping mechanism. Sometimes weaknesses or perceived disadvantages can become silver linings in challenging situations.
I cover Arthur a lot because the show teaches so many great lessons to children, and this Halloween cartoon episode adds to what children can learn while also simply celebrating the spookiest of holidays.
Max’s Halloween From Max & Ruby (Season 1, Episode 5a)

Max is ready to be a vampire for Halloween while Ruby dresses as Princess Cinderella. Ruby tries to have Max dress as a prince rather than a vampire. However, these attempts are foiled when Max keeps grabbing scary props and keeping his vampire robe on. Ruby’s perception is that Max won’t get treats dressed as a vampire. The twist is that Grandma is dressed like a vampire, too.
What “Max’s Halloween” Teaches Children: You can be anything you want on Halloween. Get creative with your costume and don’t let anyone badmouth your idea. Being yourself is better than forcing yourself to dress up as something you don’t like. Ever since my eldest was 5, I have let her pick her costume. When she was 5, she dressed as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Last year, she dressed as Wednesday from The Addams Family. This year, she is dressing up as Zoey from K-Pop Demon Hunters.
Spooky: Experiment 300 From Lilo And Stitch: The Series

A new experiment is on the loose throughout Hawaii during the Halloween season. Experiment 300, whom Lilo later names Spooky, is a green shapeshifting creature that turns into the worst fears of the person nearest him. He uses this ability to wreak havoc throughout the island. Lilo faces backlash from her hula group for dressing as a dead princess. However, she embraces her individuality and keeps her costume. Throughout the episode, Spooky chases Lilo, who has transformed into a clown. The experiment almost drowns Stitch in flood waters in the home kitchen.
What “Spooky: Experiment 300” Teaches Children: Your fears don’t define who you are. Facing what scares you head-on seems like a tall order, but you come out braver and more resilient because of it. My kids needed their yearly bloodwork done, and my eldest daughter expressed fear of the needle. I assured her that even though the needle is scary, it’s important for her to close her eyes and press through the fear to get her health screening done. I advised her to think of a happy place while closing her eyes to help reduce the pain. She did great at the bloodwork appointment and didn’t cry at all.
Pumpkin Party From Peppa Pig (Season 4, Episode 56)

Daddy Pig has made pumpkin pie and decorated their home with jack-o-lanterns to prepare for the pumpkin party. He has Peppa invite all her friends to dress up and celebrate the spooky festive occasion. The gang faces a problem when the power goes out, knocking over their pumpkin creations. Thankfully, Mommy Pig fixes the problem fuse, and the party keeps going.
What “Pumpkin Party” Teaches Children: Even special occasions can endure unexpected issues. Take one step at a time to mitigate the problem to keep the special event going. A temporary issue doesn’t mean everything has to end. You never know if that problem actually adds more fun to the celebration.
Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest From Curious George (2013)

George and the Man with the Yellow Hat (Bill) are enjoying all the activities fall has to offer, from jumping in leaves to attending a Halloween festival while dressed in costume. Instead of spooky elements like in other Halloween cartoons, this Curious George film uncovers mysteries with more natural, realistic explanations, as BabelAlexandria highlights in an IMDb review. George also learns to make choices when selecting the best pumpkin from the patch. Bill also tells a scary story to George and his friend, Allie, about the legend of “No Noggin”. He’s also focused on choosing his costume to win the upcoming Boo Festival.
What “Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest” Teaches Children: There are many ways to have fun with different activities leading up to any holiday. You can be creative with costumes during Halloween or with gift-giving at Christmas. With an endless array of ways to express yourself, this reminds children that imagination makes celebration more meaningful.
Boo Fest is one of the best Halloween cartoons for children who aren’t ready for the spookier side of the season.
Franklin’s Halloween From Franklin (Season 1, Episode 4b)

Franklin and the gang have fun trick-or-treating. Goose adds to the hype, claiming her sister once witnessed a real ghost. The friend group hears strange noises on their travels, naturally getting scared by the spooky nature of Halloween night. Franklin first thinks the noises are the Bear coming to meet them for their fun outing. However, they meet Mr. Mole instead and learn that Bear is stuck at home recovering from a cold.
What “Franklin’s Halloween” Teaches Children: Some holidays have to be celebrated differently if you are at home recovering from a sickness. While plans may unfortunately change, there are always ways to have fun at home. One Fourth of July, my eldest daughter had a fever. Plus, it was a 20-minute drive to the nearest fireworks show. To let her rest, we turned on a nearby live fireworks show.
What Can I Wear For Halloween? From Charlie And Lola (Season 3, Episode 19)

The episode opens with Charlie and Lola showing off their costumes. Charlie is dressed as a wizard, while Lola is dressed in last year’s costume. Charlie thinks she is an alligator, but Lola replies that she’s a crocodile. The big brother pretends to turn Lola into wearing other costumes like a witch, a spider, and a skeleton. After finding a giant pumpkin with her brother and friends, Lola decides to dress as an enormous pumpkin lantern.
What “What Can I Wear For Halloween?” Teaches Children: Kids should let their imaginations run wild when choosing a costume for Halloween or a general dress-up occasion. Being in the same costume year after year can feel stale. Though I was a witch for a few years in my childhood, I also remember dressing as a cheerleader in 4th grade and as a pirate in 6th grade. I remember looking at old photos and seeing that I was dressed as an angel in 1996, on the same Halloween that my newborn little brother was dressed as Mickey Mouse.
Clifford’s Howl-O-Ween From Clifford the Big Red Dog (Season 3, Episode 9b)

Clifford’s Halloween costume from his puppy days no longer fits him. Emily Elizabeth and her family embark on a journey for a costume that fits their big red friend. Everyone soon learns that spending any holiday with their loyal, friendly canine is always special, even if not everything is as expected.
What “Clifford’s Howl-O-Ween” Teaches Children: Halloween is even more awesome fun when dressing in a costume. Remember to always be yourself, no matter what character you pretend to be. I stopped dressing up for a few years after my 12th Halloween because one person in my neighborhood said I was too old to trick-or-treat. I was fine with being myself, thinking it was the end of my dressing-up days. However, as I got into my adulthood, I eventually got back to dressing up off and on. When I was 19, I dressed as the late R&B singer, Aaliyah. When I was pregnant with my eldest in 2017, I dressed as a Native American.
I’ll gladly add Clifford to the best Halloween cartoons list, just as our team has added him to other lists where our big red friend can teach children lessons in his unique, often hilariously chaotic way.
Pumpkin Picking Chip From Chip & Potato (Season 1, Episode 22)

Chip participates in a pumpkin-picking contest with her family and the Phant family. It is a yearly tradition, and it’s her first time participating. Chip finds different big pumpkins throughout the patch with Potato’s help. She tries pushing the pumpkin back home with Spud and Grandma. The Pugs ask the Phants to help push the pumpkin home, and everyone wins because of the collaborative effort.
What “Pumpkin Picking Chip” Teaches Children: A competition isn’t all about being declared the winner. It’s about the relationships you make along the way and the collaborative effort teams can achieve to reach a shared goal. Kindness and cooperation matter more than individual success.
A Go! Go! Cory Carson Halloween From Go! Go! Cory Carson (2020)

Cory Carson must take his sister, Chrissy, trick-or-treating this year, along with his friend, Freddie. They brave fears and obstacles to get through a haunted house to get to the biggest chocolate bars in the neighborhood. Cory and Freddie run away with the candy bar when a mummy pops out from behind the door. Chrissy goes further into the haunted house with the mummy, who was actually the neighborhood dentist, dressed as a mummy, who gives her a lot of marshmallows.
What “A Go! Go! Cory Carson Halloween” Teaches Children: Haunted attractions are not filled with real monsters. They are staged attractions to incite an unexpected yet fun scare in participants. While I personally do not bring my kids to haunted attractions, they do have fun at trunk-or-treats and at the yearly trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.
Casper’s Halloween Special From Casper The Friendly Ghost (1979)

Casper the friendly ghost dresses up and goes trick-or-treating, trying to pass off as a human. Hairy Scarey and his crew try to scare every house that Casper attempts to visit to get candy from, putting a dent in his Halloween plans. Not all is lost because Casper finds orphans who aren’t wearing any costumes, and they accept that he is a ghost. It turns out to be a fun night after all.
What “Casper’s Halloween Special” Teaches Children: Not all plans go as you’d expect. You never know who you will meet in your day-to-day adventures. They could turn out to be fun individuals who enhance the event.
I can’t believe this Caspey special came out in 1979! Still, it holds up well on our list of the best Halloween cartoons.
Halloween From The Amazing World Of Gumball (Season 2, Episode 9)

Carrie the ghost takes Gumball and his siblings to a haunted house for a Halloween party. The twist is that they have to play as if they’re dead because it’s a party full of immortal ghostly participants. Gumball gets offered some ectoplasm, and all attendees realize that he and Darwin are mortal creatures, ensuing chaos. The siblings turn into ghosts and cause havoc throughout the neighborhood.
What “Halloween” Teaches Children: Fear can sometimes stem from misunderstandings that separate individuals. However, learning to overlook those differences can bridge the gaps in friendship. This fosters unexpected bonds with people you may never have thought you’d meet. My children’s father and I met in 8th grade at the end-of-year social dance. I didn’t reconnect with him until the sophomore year of high school, when I learned we were opposites. He’s an artist and I’m a writer. He is a man of few words, and I’m very talkative. It’s our differences that brought us together.
I Spy A Witch From As Told By Ginger (Season 1, Episode 13)

Miranda vandalizes the school statue and frames Ginger for it. Ginger loses her part in the upcoming school play about the Salem witch trials because of Miranda’s wrongful framing. The side story is that Hoodsey and Carl are trying to pull off a Halloween prank in memory of Maude, who passed away in earlier episodes. Miranda eventually admits to defacing the school statue, and Ginger gets to play a supporting role in the play after all.
What “I Spy A Witch” Teaches Children: Kids can learn about honesty and standing up for what they believe in, even if the world is against them. False accusations can harm others, so it’s best to take accountability for one’s actions. Teaching my kids accountability is one of the hardest lessons, but I ensure I integrate it into daily lessons because it’s important for a successful adulthood.
The Spookiest House In Marzipan From Chowder (Season 3, Episode 42a)

Chowder is tasked with making a food delivery to a haunted house across the street from the shop. He asks Gazpacho for help with the job, but Gazpacho eventually knocks him out. Gorgonzola and Panini join his delivery adventure, only for a strange cloud to forcefully drag them into the Spooky House. Chowder bravely goes into the house to save his friends and finds that it’s Gazpacho’s mother who lives in the Spooky House.
What “The Spookiest House In Marzipan” Teaches Children: A spooky house may just be that on the outside, but you never know what’s on the inside. Don’t jump to conclusions about a specific home. This brings about the importance of trick-or-treating safety. People giving out candy usually have their porch lights on or a bowl of candy at their front step. Sometimes they also sit outside to hand out the candy.
Nightmare On Wilson Way From Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends (Season 5, Episode 10)

Mac has to stay tied down to Bloo’s bed because of how wild he gets during sugar rushes. Bloo contemplates the Halloween prank he pulls every year. He likes to have a fake snake inside a can of peanut brittle to scare his friends. Bloo successfully pulls the prank on Mr. Herriman. The tall rabbit is perceived to be dead, so Bloo buries him in the backyard. Eventually, Herriman emerges from the hole and admits his prank on Bloo was meant to help him learn his lesson.
What “Nightmare On Wilson Way” Teaches Children: Pranks can be all in good fun. However, some pranks shouldn’t be pulled as they can hurt others. It’s funny because my eldest daughter likes to sneak up on me and scare me sometimes by saying, “Boo!” Thankfully, this is a friendly prank, but I will teach this lesson to all my kids as they get older.
If you’ve watched this wonderfully chaotic TV show, this episode is a great way to get started, and it’s a great addition to any Halloween cartoon collection.
Witch’s Crew From The Powerpuff Girls 2016 Reboot (Season 3, Episode 21)

Princess Morbucks tries to make a potion to become extra beautiful and even richer. Mojo Jojo, who is dressed as a cat for Halloween, upsets the potion-making process. This action turns him into a real cat and Princess Morbucks into a fire-breathing ogre. Princess has to collect specific items from the Powerpuff Girls to make a potion to return to normal, but she is unsuccessful. The episode ends with Princess taking refuge in a cottage for the night to escape the rain.
What “Witch’s Crew” Teaches Children: No one should try to wish for something they don’t have in an unhealthy way. Working hard for what you want can eventually lead to success. However, self-acceptance is the most important for being the most authentic person possible. My eldest daughter sometimes says she wishes we could be rich like some of the YouTube content creators she sees. However, I remind her that an abundance of money cannot contribute to true happiness.
Scooby-Doo And The Witch’s Ghost From Scooby-Doo (1999)

I remember having the Hex Girls music on repeat when I was a young girl. I’d sometimes blast it again around Halloween during my teen and adult years. The titular girl band makes its debut in this Halloween-themed Scooby-Doo movie. The Mystery Incorporated gang travels to Oakhaven, a New England town being haunted by one of Ben Ravencroft’s ancestors. Ben, Daphne, Fred, and Velma scout the neighborhood for the witch’s ghost. However, it first appears by throwing fireballs at Scooby and Shaggy. Thorn of the Hex Girls reveals she is 1/16 Wiccan, leaving her and her band to be judged and misunderstood. She is tasked with reading the spell that traps Sarah’s ghost forever because of her Wiccan affiliation to stop the town from being continually haunted.
What “Scooby-Doo And The Witch’s Ghost” Teaches Children: People shouldn’t be judged on appearances, race, or religious affiliations. Everyone can have differences in these realms of life, but still get along as long as they are understanding and kind-hearted. What seems supernatural and evil may have a rational explanation.
Rugrats: Candy Bar Creep Show From Rugrats (Season 1, Episode 9a)

Didi and Stu set up a haunted house attraction for the neighborhood kids trick-or-treating on Halloween night. The Rugrats are in their play area, confused as to why everyone looks so different. Angelica explains to them how people dress up in costumes and get candy on Halloween night. The babies enter the haunted house attraction to see why the kids were screaming, to get Reptar candy bars. They aren’t that scared by the decorations, all except Chuckie, who gets a bit spooked.
What “Rugrats: Candy Bar Creep Show” Teaches Children: Trick-or-treating is meant to be a fun and exciting experience. Even if there are scares along the way, kids can laugh it off knowing what they saw wasn’t real and all in good fun. My son takes things very seriously and is still learning the difference between real and fake. Hence, I know it’ll be challenging for him this Halloween if he sees something scary. His older sister and I will be there to teach him reality from fame if he gets too scared.
There are a lot of Nickelodeon shows on this best Halloween cartoons episode, and there are a few of them as iconic as Rugrats.
Arnold’s Halloween From Hey Arnold! (Season 2, Episode 7)

Arnold tells his best friend, Gerald, that he has a Halloween prank idea to spook the adults. Helga tries to get the boys to come, trick-or-treating dressed as aliens, along with the rest of the crew. However, they politely decline because they have other plans and invite their friends to the boarding house Halloween party for when they’re done with their rounds. During the party, Gerald announces to the residents, using a voice changer, that aliens are now invading the boarding house. Arnold’s grandpa is impressed to learn that the whole thing was a prank, but the rest of the town doesn’t believe it’s a hoax and takes the announcement seriously.
What “Arnold’s Halloween” Teaches Children: Pranks should be appropriately done without inciting panic. Spreading misinformation can be more harmful to the affected people than fun for the individuals causing the prank. This is why I stress to my eldest daughter always to tell the truth so that miscommunications or lies don’t turn into huge issues.
The Switching Hour From Aaahh!! Real Monsters (Season 1, Episode 1)

Krumm, Ickis, and Oblina go out on Halloween night against Gromble’s wishes. Nicky is the human they scared the night before. He’s out in the neighborhood dressed as Ickis, making Krumm and Oblina mistake him for the real Ickis. One of Nicky’s friends thinks that Ickis is actually Nicky. Hence, both characters switch places, confusing the humans and monsters. They eventually get back to their rightful places.
What “The Switching Hour” Teaches Children: Embracing one’s true identity is essential for character building. Being honest about who you are ensures authenticity and reduces confusion when people find the truth about you. I always remind my eldest daughter to be who she truly is and that there’s no need to hide any part of herself. I can see that her self-esteem and confidence are much higher because of this lesson I continually remind her.
Scary Godparents From The Fairly Oddparents (Season 2, Episode 12)

Timmy doesn’t allot enough time for Halloween preparations. He unfortunately has to resort to a last-minute costume dressing as a mummy using thin toilet paper. What’s even worse is that Vicky has to chaperone Timmy as he goes trick-or-treating. To make up for his annoying experience, he wishes for Cosmo and Wanda to turn everybody’s costumes into “real and scary” ones. This chaotic wish causes havoc and misadventures amongst supporting characters.
What “Scary Godparents” Teaches Children: Think before making impulsive decisions that could cause chaos as consequences. Enjoy the moment you are in and the circumstances that are surrounding it. My daughter sometimes has trouble staying in the moment and is ready to jump to the next activity when we are out. I remind her to enjoy what she has and savor what’s happening currently.
Fright Knight From Danny Phantom (Season 1, Episode 13)

Danny and Dash have gotten in trouble in school. Whoever makes the best Halloween exhibit can dodge detention. The boys also make a side bet on who will do what if the other wins. Danny can’t celebrate Halloween the way he wants to because of a fight with a ghost eel that’s going longer than expected. He has to go to the Ghost Zone to Fright Knight’s castle and dodge traps his nemesis has set up. Fright Knight has been freed from his pumpkin prison after having retrieved his Soul Shredder weapon. Even though the gang beats Fright Knight, Danny gets grounded, receives detention, and has to eat Dash’s underwear for losing the bet on who would win the Halloween exhibit.
What “Fright Night” Teaches Children: Not every event will end in a victory. The choices one makes determine the consequences that follow. Depending on how people react to your decisions, consequences can be good or bad. There are times my daughter has snuck onto YouTube on her tablet on days I didn’t want her on that app. I had time limits on the YouTube app, but she was accessing it through Safari. Hence, I had to block that website on Safari under the settings so it wouldn’t happen again. She had a whole day with no tablet play because she went behind my back.
Bugs Bunny’s Howl-Oween Special From Looney Tunes (1978)

Bunny Snatchers come to capture Bugs Bunny during this Halloween cartoon special. He uses his cunning and strategic know-how to dodge their attempts to capture him. He runs into Witch Hazel, a green witch, and he takes an interest in her spell casting. She turns into a vampire after Bugs slams a door, and she starts chasing him around. She has to turn into a bat to dodge him from seeing her as he reads a spell book. Bugs notices her as a bat and slaps her down with a fly swatter. Sylvester and Porky Pig are trying to get some sleep, but Sylvester falls out of bed and notices a cat captured by mice.
What “Bugs Bunny’s Howl-Oween Special” Teaches Children: Kids can learn quick thinking and creativity to get out of tricky situations. Having courage and using clever critical thinking are essential traits for growth. These traits teach independence and resilience.
Spooky Costume Party With Blue From Blue’s Clues & You (Season 2, Episode 4)

Blue and the gang are having a fun Halloween costume party. The characters of Storybook World come to the house to celebrate the spooky holiday. Josh dresses as a wolf while Blue dresses like a fish. Magenta is having trouble picking a costume. Blue steps in to help with a game of Blue’s Clues to figure out what costume Magenta may like to wear.
What “Spooky Costume Party With Blue” Teaches Children: Choosing a Halloween costume can be challenging. Think of what favorite animals or cartoon characters you like and go from there. If you are still having trouble, roll a die or pick a costume name from a hat to make it a surprise choice. I remember Halloween 2021, when my daughter had multiple costumes. At a local bowling alley’s Halloween event, she was dressed as Dora the Explorer. I dressed her as Thing 2 for the Halloween events she attended with her step-grandmother. She dressed as a pirate, just like her dad, for a couple of Halloween events we attended with him.
From the toddler or preschooler in your life, it’s hard to go wrong with Blue’s Clues & You, and while the entire show isn’t just a Halloween cartoon, it’s still cartoony enough to make our list and offer something a little bit different for your children.
Billy And Mandy’s Jacked-Up Halloween From The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy (Season 1, Episode 15)

An enemy from Grim’s past, named Jack, grabs his scythe and makes it Halloween every day. Jack lost his head in return for escaping death back then. Jack uses the scythe to destroy a large part of Endsville. The chaos doesn’t stop as Jack takes Grim hostage to decapitate him like Grim took Jack’s head years prior. Billy diverts Jack from decapitating Grim. Irwin does something funny, causing Jack to laugh himself to death, and is banished to the Underworld indefinitely.
What “Billy And Mandy’s Jacked-Up Halloween” Teaches Children: Seeking revenge isn’t the best route. Finding forgiveness in those who wronged you and healing from the hurt is a more positive healing journey. I try teaching my kids not to do tit for tat. If one of them hits the other, the offended person usually hits back. This is a bad habit I’m breaking with them to resolve disputes more healthily.
Trick Or Treat Ghost From Pete The Cat (Season 1, Episode 8b)

Pete and his friends go trick-or-treating and encounter some scary sights along the way. Though they’re frightened at first, they realize these fears are all in their heads throughout these destinations. There is no true Trick-or-Treat Ghost like they thought. This enlightens their perspectives on their Halloween adventures, making them more fun.
What “Trick Or Treating Ghost” Teaches Children: Processing and conquering fears are one of the first steps of becoming mentally stronger. Jump into new experiences with positivity and bravery even if they seem scary at first. One may find that facing their fear is much easier than cowering from it.
Trick Or Treat From The Berenstain Bears (Season 1, Episode 5b)

Brother and Sister go trick-or-treating during Halloween. However, they think that one of their neighbors, Widder Jones, is a witch. The siblings experience peer pressure from friends to prank Widder Jones. Sure, they are scared of their neighbor, but it doesn’t mean they should pull pranks. They don’t engage in the pranks and meet Widder Jones themselves to find out she is actually a nice person.
What “Trick Or Treat” Teaches Children: Don’t judge somebody for their personality before you meet them. Fear is a byproduct of misunderstanding or lack of knowledge. Step out on faith and get to know someone. You may be surprised that you make a new friend along the way.
Hopefully, your favorite made our list of the best Halloween cartoons, and hopefully, there are many more amazing specials to come in the future. Now go enjoy some hilarious, spooky Halloween fun with your kiddos!
