Autumn is apple season! Help celebrate fall with your young child by making a simple but fun red apple paper plate craft.
Materials
- Red, brown, and green nontoxic paint
- White paper plates
- Blank paper
- Paintbrush
- Scrap cardboard
- Black permanent marker
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
- Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
- Allow your child to paint the paper plate with the red paint.
- Allow the red paint to dry thoroughly.
- Draw an apple stem (rectangle) and apple leaf (crescent moon) onto the blank paper with the black marker.
- Pour some brown paint onto the scrap cardboard.
- Paint the stem brown.
- Pour some green paint on to the scrap cardboard.
- Paint the leaf green.
- Allow the green and brown paint to dry thoroughly.
- After the green and brown paint dries, turn the paper over and cut out the stem and leaf following the marker outline.
- Glue the leaf and stem onto the back of the red plate.
- Display the red apple paper plate craft!
