    Red Apple Paper Plate Toddler Craft

    Autumn is apple season! Help celebrate fall with your young  child by making a simple but fun red apple paper plate craft.

    Materials

    • Red, brown, and green nontoxic paint
    • White paper plates
    • Blank paper
    • Paintbrush
    • Scrap cardboard
    • Black permanent marker
    • Scissors
    • Glue

    Instructions

    1. Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
    2. Allow your child to paint the paper plate with the red paint.
    3. Allow the red paint to dry thoroughly.
    4. Draw an apple stem (rectangle) and apple leaf (crescent moon) onto the blank paper with the black marker.
    5. Pour some brown paint onto the scrap cardboard.
    6. Paint the stem brown.
    7. Pour some green paint on to the scrap cardboard.
    8. Paint the leaf green.
    9. Allow the green and brown paint to dry thoroughly.
    10. After the green and brown paint dries, turn the paper over and cut out the stem and leaf following the marker outline.
    11. Glue the leaf and stem onto the back of the red plate.
    12. Display the red apple paper plate craft!
