Z is for zebra! Help your toddler learn about the letter Z by making a fun zebra handprint craft.
Materials
- Black and light gray nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some light gray paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of light gray paint on your child’s hand.
- Press the light gray handprint into the center of the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of light gray paint on your child’s finger.
- Press the light gray fingerprint onto the handprint opposite the thumb.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of light gray paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press two light gray fingertip prints on top of the light gray fingerprint.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Pour some black paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of black paint on your child’s finger and fingertip.
- Press black stripes on the light gray handprint and fingerprint.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Use a paintbrush to paint a black eye in the center of the light gray fingerprint.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “Z is for zebra” in black on the paper.
