A is for apple! Help your toddler learn about the letter A by making a fun apple handprint craft.
Materials
- Red, yellow, light green, dark green and brown nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some yellow paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of yellow paint on your child’s palm.
- Press the handprint into the lower right of the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s palm.
- Press the handprint into the lower center top of the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Pour some light green paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of light green paint on your child’s palm.
- Press the handprint into the lower left of the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Pour some brown paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s finger.
- Press a fingerprint onto the top center of each handprint. Reapply the brown paint as needed.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Pour some dark green paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of dark green paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press a fingerprint next to each brown fingerprint. Reapply the dark green paint as needed.
- Wash the paint off your child’s fingertip.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “A is for apple” in brown on the paper.

This is so cute, I love hand or foot print crafts because they make great keepsakes.
