While learning about the letter R last spring, my daughter and I made a simple but fun construction paper raincloud craft. Making clouds is also a great activity for a lesson on the weather.

Materials

• Blue construction paper
• Cotton balls
• Blue yarn
• Scissors
• Glue

Directions

1. Cut a large sheet of construction paper into the shape of a cloud.
2. Cut more construction paper into raindrop shapes.
3. Glue the cotton balls onto the cloud.
4. Cut the yarn into 12-inch pieces.
5. Glue the raindrops onto the pieces of yarn.
6. Glue one end of each piece of yarn onto the bottom back of the cloud.
