My daughter is just over two years old. However, she has used the potty occasionally since she started eating solids at six months old. To help her use the toilet when she transitioned to solid foods, I bought her an inexpensive potty seat that worked right on top of the regular toilet. However, now that she is moving beyond elimination communication to actual potty training, I had considered purchasing a child-size potty training seat for her to use. Thus, I was super excited to receive a Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years to review.
When my Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years first arrived at my door, I was a little apprehensive about assembling the potty seat. Sometimes I have problems following the directions in instruction manuals. However, I quickly learned that assembling the potty seat is incredibly easy. The only real assembly required involved attaching the twinkle sound button to the training seat. All I needed was a screwdriver. In terms of assembly, I rate the Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years extremely highly.
Although I have not exposed my toddler daughter to the Disney Princesses (or to much media at all), my daughter really likes her new Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years. Her favorite color is pink, so the pink on the potty seat is perfect! When I give her a choice of colors, she most frequently picks pink. Thus, the pink of the Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years helps make her want to try to use the potty seat. If your little girl likes the colors pink or purple, then I recommend trying this potty seat as a way to entice your little one to work on potty training.
Another feature that makes the Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years fun for toddlers who are working on potty training is the twinkle sound button on the training seat. My daughter loves sitting on her new potty seat and pushing the button. To encourage potty training, I told her that she can push the button as much as she wants as long as she is sitting on the seat and trying to go potty. She loved pushing the button so much that I had trouble enticing her to get up off the seat! Therefore, parents can use the sound button on the Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years to facilitate potty training.
Finally, the Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years also doubles as a step stool that holds up to 200 pounds. My daughter already uses the stool to reach the sink in the bathroom when washing her hands. She also likes to stand on the stool to look at herself in the mirror. I am also able to sit on the stool instead of on the floor when my daughter is in the bathroom because I weigh well under 200 pounds. Thus, unlike other potty seats, the Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years is multi-functional, which makes the seat both economical and space-saving.
Final Verdict: If you are shopping for a potty training seat for your toddler, I highly recommend the Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years. Assembling the seat is super easy and requires only a screwdriver. The twinkle sound button makes my daughter want to sit on the potty. She also loves the pink color of the seat. Finally, I personally love that the potty seat doubles as a step stool. I can save both money and space with just one potty seat with the Disney Princess Magical Sparkle Potty System by The First Years while my daughter works on potty training!
