Evenflo has announced a voluntary recall of specific models of its All4One 4-in-1 convertible car seats, manufactured between January 2022 and June 2024. The recall includes car seats sold in the United States and Canada.
According to the company, the recall is being issued out of an abundance of caution following internal testing and not because of reported injuries or a failure to protect children in a crash.
Why the All4One 4-in-1 Is Being Recalled
During testing, Evenflo determined that when the All4One seat is installed in rear-facing mode, it may shift between recline positions. Importantly, the company states that the car seat continues to protect a properly secured child in a crash, and there have been no reports of injuries associated with this issue.
The primary concern is a pinching risk if an adjacent passenger places their fingers or hands into the recline mechanism while the seat is rear-facing.
Can Parents Continue Using the Car Seat?
Yes. Evenflo says parents and caregivers may continue to use the recalled car seats, including in rear-facing mode. As a precaution, anyone sitting next to the car seat should keep their hands and fingers away from the recline mechanism. To further reduce risk, Evenflo recommends folding a small towel and placing it inside the recline mechanism to fill the open space while the seat is rear-facing.
Parents should not return the car seat while waiting for replacement information.
Which All4One Models Are Affected?
Only specific All4One 4-in-1 models manufactured between January 2022 and June 2024 are included. Other Evenflo seats, including models labeled EveryFit, EveryKid, or All4Stages, are not affected unless the model number below matches.

An Important Note For Parents When Discarding Old Car Seats
Please remember that if you decide to dispose of your old car seat, you should cut the seat’s seat belts to render it non-functional. This ensures unsuspecting parents do not use an unsafe car seat. This is also a good practice to follow when car seats, strollers, and other children’s products have reached their expiration date or must be discarded for any other reason.
