F is for fire! Help your toddler learn about the letter F by making a fun fire footprint and handprint craft.

Materials

• Brown, red, orange, and yellow nontoxic paint
• Blank paper
• Paper plate or scrap cardboard
• Cotton ball
• Cotton swab or paintbrush

Instructions

1. Pour some brown paint onto the cardboard.
2. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s foot.
3. Press the handprint vertically on the bottom of the paper.
4. Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
5. Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
6. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s hand.
7. Press the handprint onto the paper above the brown footprint.
8. Do not wash the paint off your child’s hand.
9. Pour some orange paint onto the cardboard.
10. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of orange paint on your child’s hand.
11. Press the handprint onto the paper above the brown footprint.
12. Do not wash the paint off your child’s hand.
13. Pour some yellow paint onto the cardboard.
14. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of yellow paint on your child’s hand.
15. Press the handprint onto the paper above the brown footprint.
16. Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
17. Use a paintbrush to paint “F is for fire” in yellow on the paper.
