F is for fire! Help your toddler learn about the letter F by making a fun fire footprint and handprint craft.
Materials
- Brown, red, orange, and yellow nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some brown paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s foot.
- Press the handprint vertically on the bottom of the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
- Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s hand.
- Press the handprint onto the paper above the brown footprint.
- Do not wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Pour some orange paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of orange paint on your child’s hand.
- Press the handprint onto the paper above the brown footprint.
- Do not wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Pour some yellow paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of yellow paint on your child’s hand.
- Press the handprint onto the paper above the brown footprint.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “F is for fire” in yellow on the paper.
