I love snuggling up on the couch with a comfy blanket. I especially love knitted and crocheted blankets, which keep me warm but still breathe. Mermaids are currently all the rage. While shopping online recently, I have seen all sorts of fun mermaid products from swim tails to blankets. GearBest recently offered me the chance to review an adorable mermaid tail blanket in exchange for my honest opinion. After checking out the fabulous knit blanket, I selected the red, which is my favorite color.

The red mermaid tail blanket from GearBest currently retails for $27.91 with a sale price of $19.68. When I search for similar mermaid blankets on Amazon, I find that most retail for around $40. I therefore rate the current price, both retail and sale, of the GearBest mermaid tail blanket extremely positively.
Design
The mermaid tail blanket from GearBest consists of knitted acrylic cotton in water blue, red, rose, purple, and light purple colors. The pullover blanket is sleeveless and collarless. The one-size blanket measures 70.87 by 35.43 and fits most women who measure extra-small to medium. The top features an opening and a slit while the bottom includes a fun tail and a small opening.
Performance
When I first opened my new mermaid tail blanket from GearBest, I was immediately impressed by the softness of the material. The knitted acrylic cotton is super soft to the touch. Sometimes yarn blankets can feel a little rough, so I was pleased to find that this blanket is super snuggly. I especially love curling up under my mermaid tail blanket while wearing my pajama shorts on a cool spring night. The material feels super soft against my legs. I therefore rate the GearBest mermaid tail blanket extremely highly in terms of softness.
Slipping into my GearBest mermaid tail blanket is super easy. The top opening is nice and wide, making slipping inside quick and comfortable. I am five feet and one inch tall, so I am a fairly short woman. I can pull the blanket all the way up to my chest when I am stretched out and up to my shoulders when I curl up inside. I also love the small opening at the bottom at the tail. When my feet get too warm inside, I can stick my toes out through the small opening to cool down a bit without taking the entire blanket off.
I also love the color of my mermaid tail blanket from GearBest. Red is my favorite color, so I chose the red blanket. In addition to the red, the blanket also includes some gray-blue yarn interspersed throughout the main color. I really like the addition of the second color, which makes the entire blanket look even more like a mermaid tail. This blanket also comes in water blue, rose, purple, and light purple.
Washing the GearBest mermaid tail blanket is also incredibly easy. When my blanket gets dirty (which is fairly quickly because I have two young children, two dogs, and a cat), I put it in my washing machine with a little soap. I used the regular wash cycle with cold water and a cold rinse. I finally allowed the clean blanket to air dry on my drying rack in front of a fan. The yarn and knitting hold up well in the washer. Despite multiple washings already, my blanket still looks and feels as good as new! I rate the mermaid tail blanket from GearBest extremely highly in terms of ease-of-washing.
