Mother’s Day is tomorrow. Have you gotten your mom a gift to say thank you and show her how much you appreciate her? If not, do not worry. You still have time to make an awesome handprint and photo craft that your mom will cherish for years to come. For our second Mother’s Day together, my daughter and I made two handprint photo canvas crafts: one for me and one for my mom. I already have mine hanging on my living room wall above the television. I am also super excited to give my mom hers tomorrow.
To make your own Mother’s Day handprint photo canvas craft, start by buying and gathering your materials. First you need a blank canvas, which I found for pretty cheap at my local Hobby Lobby. You will also need acrylic craft paint, cotton balls, a paper plate or scrap of cardboard, a photograph, photo-safe glue such as PVA, and a paintbrush.
Once the handprints are completely dry, use a paintbrush to spread a thin layer of photo-safe glue on the back of the photograph. My husband took an adorable picture of me and my daughter that I decided to use for our Mother’s Day handprint photo canvas craft. Be sure to use a photo-safe adhesive such as PVA glue.
