I’ve included a synopsis for each movie and TV show, and because I’m always trying to teach my four children important life lessons, I’ve also included the lessons each piece of entertainment teaches to children.
Here’s every Netflix movie and TV show for kids coming to the platform in May 2025.
Trolls (May 1, 2025)
The feel-good musical adventure that started it all is heading back to Netflix. Trolls brings the rainbow-colored world of Poppy, Branch, and their crew of singing, dancing Trolls as they go on a mission to rescue their friends from the Bergens. Bursting with catchy songs and vibrant visuals, this Dreamworks favorite is a surefire hit with kids who love music, humor, and positive vibes.

Everything is awesome with The Lego Movie! This wildly imaginative animated hit tells the story of Emmet, an ordinary construction worker Lego figure, who finds himself at the center of a prophecy to save the Lego universe. With laugh-out-loud moments, clever pop culture nods, and big-hearted themes, this movie is a must-watch for kids and adults alike. It’s the movie that spurred an entire cottage industry of follow-up LEGO movies and gave us Will Arnett as the voice of LEGO Batman!
