    Rum Cake Balls Recipe


    • Rum Cake Balls1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
    • 1 tub of icing (any flavor)
    • spiced rum
    • 2 12-ounce bags of chocolate chips (any flavor)


    1. Prepare the cake mix according to the instructions on the box.
    2. Pour the tub of icing into a large mixing bowl.
    3. Pour the cooked cake into the mixing bowl.
    4. Thoroughly mix together the cooked cake and icing.
    5. Add spiced rum to taste to the cake-icing mixture. (Do not oversaturate.)
    6. Form the cake-icing mixture into bite-sized balls.
    7. Place the rum cake balls onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
    8. Freeze the rum cake balls until cold.
    9. Use a double boiler to melt the chocolate chips.
    10. Dip the frozen rum cake balls into the melted chocolate.
    11. Place the chocolate-dipped rum cake balls back on the wax paper.
    12. Freeze the covered rum cake balls.
    13. Serve the rum cake balls frozen.
    14. Store any uneaten rum cake balls in the freezer.
