As a father of four kids ranging from age 3 to 13, I know firsthand how important it is to find quality entertainment that the whole family can enjoy, especially on rainy days or lazy weekends. The good news? There’s a fantastic lineup of animated shows and movies coming to Netflix for the remainder of 2025, and many of them do more than entertain. They teach kids valuable lessons about friendship, courage, empathy, and growing up, all through vibrant storytelling and relatable characters.
Below is a breakdown of Netflix’s remaining upcoming animated content, along with age recommendations and a quick overview of what each one teaches children.
KPop Demon Hunters – June 20, 2025
Recommended Ages: 8+
This stylish animated adventure follows a globally popular K-pop girl group who live a double life as demon hunters. By day, they tour the world and top the music charts. By night, they fight evil spirits that threaten the balance between worlds. The Twits – Fall 2025

But when a group of clever animals and kids team up to stop them, the Twits may finally meet their match. While not fully animated, the series has done a great job of incorporating animations in recent years; my children, in particular, have loved Abby’s Flying Fairy School.
What It Teaches Children:
Sesame Street remains a gold standard in early childhood education, teaching a wide range of skills, from letter sounds to empathy. It helps kids build foundational knowledge while reinforcing the value of community and kindness.

Samuel – Coming Soon
Recommended Ages: TBD
While Netflix hasn’t revealed much about this original animated series, Samuel appears to be a thoughtful coming-of-age story centered around identity and belonging. More details are expected later this year.

Based on early hints, Samuel will likely explore themes like finding your voice, navigating friendships, and learning how to be true to yourself.
