BBC Studios has announced that Bluey is officially joining the Minecraft universe, and as a parent of four kids who live and breathe both worlds, this is one crossover my entire family, dad included, is excited to check out!. Starting February 5, families will be able to download Bluey DLC: Bluey’s House from the Minecraft Marketplace, bringing the Heelers’ iconic home into Minecraft for the very first time.
In our house, Bluey isn’t just a show, it’s part of daily life. My 3-year-old daughter and my 8-year-old daughter both adore Bluey and Bingo, and all four of my kids are active Minecrafters. We’ve already spent time together on the couch playing Bluey and the Quest for the Golden Pen on iOS, and Bluey: The Video Game on our PS5, so the idea of stepping into Bluey’s world inside Minecraft feels like a natural next step for our family.
Exploring Bluey’s House in Minecraft

Developed by Jigarbov Productions in partnership with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio, the new DLC recreates Bluey’s House through Minecraft’s familiar blocky lens. Players can explore the home room by room, meet Bluey, Bingo, Mum (Chilli), and Dad (Bandit), and search for hidden keys that unlock new areas as they progress.
As players explore, they’ll run into activities pulled straight from the show, including I-Spy, Hide and Seek, and Ragdoll, with additional mini-games and surprises unlocking as kids discover the family’s favorite things. There are also plenty of playful Easter eggs tucked throughout the house, including areas under the house that longtime Bluey fans will recognize immediately.
The DLC supports solo play or playing together with friends, which is a big plus for families like ours where siblings often want to explore the same world side by side.
Why This Bluey Crossover Makes Sense for Families
What makes this crossover especially appealing is how well Bluey and Minecraft align. Both encourage creativity, imaginative play, exploration, and shared experiences. Minecraft already acts as a kind of digital playground for many kids, and layering Bluey’s humor and familiar family dynamics on top of that feels like a thoughtful way to meet kids where they already love to play.
Marina Mello, Global Director of Gaming & Interactive at BBC Studios, explains that, “Bringing Bluey to Minecraft opens up a new way for fans to engage with the brand in a place where they already love to play. This partnership is a great example of how we’re evolving the way our brands live beyond the screen. By collaborating with Microsoft and Jigarbov, we’re able to explore new forms of interactive storytelling that feel native to platforms like Minecraft, while staying true to what makes Bluey so special.”
For parents, it also offers something familiar and comforting. If your kids already know the rhythms of Bluey’s games and storytelling, this DLC feels like an extension of that same gentle, imaginative world, just in a format they’re already comfortable navigating.
Free Bluey Bonus Item for Minecraft Players
To celebrate the launch, all Minecraft Bedrock players can claim a free Chattermax Mask from the Minecraft Marketplace until March 6. After that date, the cosmetic item will still be available, but it will need to be purchased.
Bluey DLC: Bluey’s House launches globally on February 5 and will be available exclusively through the Minecraft Marketplace on Bedrock Edition platforms.
From one Bluey-watching, Minecraft-playing household to another, this is one of those crossovers that actually feels made with families in mind, and we’re already clearing some time on the family Minecraft server to check it out together.
