While Hollywood is full of hardworking dads, some celebrities welcomed and raised their next generation a little later in life.
Starting in their 50s and going into their 80s, these dads embraced their fatherhood journey after many came out of their diaper-duty retirement.
From Jamie Foxx to Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Gordon Ramsay, here are just a few of the A-listers who welcomed a new bundle of joy into their lives at an older age.
1. Jamie Foxx
On November 4, 2026, it was reported that Foxx, who is 58 years old, had welcomed his third baby with his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp.
The couple has reportedly been linked since 2023. Notably, in September, Foxx confirmed the news of the pregnancy on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
“I got a baby on the way … still got it!” the comedian revealed.
“About to be back in the drop-off line,” he added.
Foxx is already a father to his daughters, 18-year-old Anelise and 32-year-old Corinne.
2. Robert De Niro
The Academy Award winner was 79 years old when he and his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen welcomed their daughter Gia in April 2023.
“She’s such an adorable baby. So sweet,” he said during his appearance on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show.
“[When I] look at her, everything else goes away. So it’s a great joy and relief to just be with her in the moment,” he added.
Notably, De Niro and his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, welcomed their first child in 1976 and had a son a few years later before splitting. He is also a father to twin sons with his ex-girlfriend, Toukie Smith. He also shares two kids with his ex-wife, Grace Hightower.
3. Gordon Ramsay
The celebrity chef welcomed his sixth child at age 57.
“What an amazing birthday present please welcome Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz whopper!! One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls…. Done,” he wrote in an Instagram post in November 2023.
He has six children with his wife, Tana Ramsay.
4. Justin Theroux
Justin Theroux became a first-time dad at the age of 54. He welcomed a baby boy with his wife, Nicole Brydon Bloom, 32.
The pair revealed on Instagram in a sweet post, “He’s here, we are so in love.”
Notably, it was reportedly confirmed that the pair were expecting their first child together in December 2025 after Bloom was pictured posing with her baby bump at the Fallout season 2 premiere.
5. Al Pacino
Fatherhood came later in life for the Academy Award-winning actor.
He welcomed his first child, daughter Julie in the year 1989. Notably, when he was 61, he and his then-girlfriend, Beverly D’Angelo welcomed twins, Anton and Olivia in 2001.
In 2023, the actor again became a father at age 82. The Godfather star reportedly welcomed a fourth child with his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Noor Alfallah.
