A is for alligator! Make a fun alligator craft to help your preschooler learn about the letter Aa using paper plates, paint, and construction paper.
Materials
- White paper plates
- Green and red paint
- Paintbrushes
- Red, black, and white construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
- Paint the top of one paper plate green.
- Paint the bottom of another paper plate green.
- Paint the top of the second paper plate red.
- Cut triangles from the white paper, a long tongue shape from the red paper, two large circles from the white paper, and two small circles from the black paper.
- Fold the green and red plate in half with the red on the inside.
- Glue the white triangles around the edge of the folded red plate with the triangle points pointing out.
- Glue the folded plate onto the full green plate.
- Glue the tongue inside the folded plated.
- Glue the black circles on the center of the white circles.
- Glue the eyes on the green plate above the mouth.
- Display the A Is for Alligator paper plate craft.
