Cheese Crackers Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cheese Crackers8 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of cold water

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
  2. Grate the sharp cheddar cheese.
  3. Cut the butter into small cubes.
  4. Combine the grated cheese, cubed butter, flour, and salt in a food processors.
  5. Crumb the ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse sand.
  6. Slowly pulse in the water.
  7. Roll the cracker dough into a ball and wrap in plastic.
  8. Chill for 20 minutes.
  9. Roll the dough 1/16 to 1/8 inch flat.
  10. Cut the dough into shapes using small cookie cutters.
  11. Place the shapes on a greased baking sheet.
  12. Bake for 15 minutes or until crispy and lightly golden. Do not overbake.
  13. Store the cheese crackers in an airtight container.
