    Full Moon Black Cat Paper Plate Craft

    Full moons and black cats are synonymous with Halloween. Help your young crafter celebrate the holiday by making a simple but fun non-spooky full moon black cat paper plate craft.

    Materials

    • Yellow, black, pink, and white nontoxic paint
    • White paper plate
    • Scrap cardboard
    • Cotton balls
    • Paintbrush

    Instructions

    1. Pour some yellow paint onto the cardboard.
    2. Paint the front of the paper plate with the yellow paint.
    3. Allow the yellow paint to dry thoroughly.
    4. Pour some black paint onto the cardboard.
    5. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of black paint on your child’s foot.
    6. Press the footprint into the center of the plate.
    7. Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
    8. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of black paint on your child’s fingertip.
    9. Press two black fingertip prints on top of the heel of the footprint. Reapply the paint as needed.
    10. Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
    11. Use a paintbrush to paint a black tail extending from the bottom inside of the footprint.
    12. Pour some pink paint onto the cardboard.
    13. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of pink paint on your child’s fingertip.
    14. Press a pink fingertip print in the center of the two black fingertip prints and in the center of the heel of the footprint. Reapply the paint as needed.
    15. Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
    16. Use a paintbrush to paint a cat mouth extending from the single pink fingertip print.
    17. Pour some white paint onto the cardboard.
    18. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of white paint on your child’s fingertip.
    19. Press two white fingertip prints onto the heel of the footprint about the pink print. Reapply the paint as needed.
    20. Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
    21. Use a paintbrush to paint on white cat whiskers and white cat toes.
    22. Use a paintbrush to paint two black dots in the centers of the white fingertip prints.
    23. Display the full moon black cat paper plate craft!
