Halloween Owl Toilet Paper Roll Craft

Owls crafts make for a perfect autumn or Halloween activity! Help celebrate the season and holiday with your young child by making a simple but fun Halloween owl toilet paper roll craft.

Materials

  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Nontoxic paint
  • Blank paper
  • Paintbrush
  • Scrap cardboard
  • Black permanent marker
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

  1. Fold in the tops of the toilet paper rolls.
  2. Paint the folded toilet paper roll.
  3. While the paint dries, draw two wings (pointed ovals) and a beak (triangle) onto the blank paper with the black marker.
  4. Paint the wings and beak.
  5. White the paint dries, pour some white paint onto the cardboard.
  6. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of white paint on your child’s fingertip.
  7. Press two white fingertip prints near the top of the toilet paper roll under the folded part. Reapply the paint as needed.
  8. Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
  9. Turn the paper with the painted shapes over and cut out the wings and beak following the marker outline.
  10. Glue the wings onto the sides of the toilet paper roll.
  11. Glue the beak under the two white fingertip prints.
  12. Use the black marker to draw pupils in the centers of the white fingertip prints.
  13. Display the Halloween owl toilet paper roll craft!
