A mother was stunned after discovering cash, two phones and brand-new Prada shoes hidden in her daughter’s closet. But when she confronted the teenager about her expensive purchases, the conversation took an unexpected turn.
In a TikTok video shared by @ashleytvshow, the mother was seen going through her daughter’s belongings when she came across the money and designer items. She immediately questioned how the teenager could afford such an expensive lifestyle.
“Look at you. You got brand new Pradas on you,” the mother said as she pointed out the shoes.
She also noticed her daughter had two phones and demanded to know where the money came from.
“Where did you get this money from?” she asked.
The teenager, however, was more concerned about her mother going through her belongings. She repeatedly asked why her mother was searching through her things, while her mother kept pressing her for answers.
When asked to explain herself, the daughter responded, “Mama, I had to do what I had to do.”
Her explanation did little to calm her mother, who became increasingly suspicious about how her daughter had obtained the money.
Mom Threatened To Call Police After Discovering Daughter’s Secret
The confrontation quickly escalated as the mother questioned whether her daughter had done something illegal.
“You’re going to go to jail and as a matter of fact, I’m about to call the police on you,” she told her daughter.
The teenager kept asking why her mother was going through her belongings, but her mother insisted she needed to know where the money came from.
“Why are you going through my stuff?” the daughter repeatedly asked.
Although the teenager appeared increasingly upset, she did not reveal how she had obtained the money. Instead, she insisted that her mother did not understand her situation.
The mother, meanwhile, remained unconvinced and continued questioning the unexplained cash, two phones and expensive Prada shoes.
Daughter Revealed She Has Not Been Attending School
The exchange took another unexpected turn when the mother brought up her daughter’s education and asked why she hadn’t been concentrating on school.
The teenager then made a startling admission, revealing that she had not been attending classes for quite some time.
“I haven’t been going to school for the longest,” she said.
Her mother seemed caught off guard by the revelation and asked why her daughter had dropped out instead of finishing school.
The teenager then asked, “How am I supposed to help us?” suggesting that she may have felt responsible for contributing to the family’s financial situation.
Throughout the confrontation, she continued defending her decisions, repeating that she had to do what she needed to do. Her mother, however, remained focused on the money and the fact that her daughter had kept her school absence a secret.
The video ended with the mother continuing to question her daughter’s choices, while the teenager insisted her mother should not have gone through her belongings.
