I love making crafts with my kids, especially crafts for our favorite holidays like Halloween. Last year during our homeschool preschool lessons on shapes, my daughter and I made some simple but festival Halloween pumpkins, candy corn, witches, and monsters using paint chips and construction paper.
Pumpkins
Materials
- Orange paint chips
- Black construction paper
- Glue or glue stick
Directions
- Cut the black construction paper into mouth, nose, and eye shapes.
- Glue the shapes onto the paint chips to Jack o’ lanterns.
Candy Corn
Materials
- Yellow paint chips
- Black and white construction paper
- Glue or glue stick
Directions
- Cut the black and white construction paper into mouth and eye shapes.
- Glue the shapes onto the paint chips to create smiling candy corn.
Witches
Materials
- Green and purple paint chips
- Black and white construction paper
- Glue or glue stick
Directions
- Cut the black and white construction paper into mouth, eye, eyebrow, nose, and pointed hat shapes.
- Glue the shapes onto the paint chips to create a witch.
Monsters
Materials
- Green paint chips
- Black and white construction paper
- Glue or glue stick
Directions
- Cut the black and white construction paper into mouth, eye, eyebrow, bolt, and hair shapes
- Glue the shapes onto the paint chips to create a monster.
