My daughter and I love Halloween and pumpkins! However, carving knives and young children do not mix. Thus, last year for our homeschool preschool lesson on the holiday, she and I made Jack o’ lanterns using recycled containers and glow sticks.
Materials
- Clean food and beverage containers
- Black paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Glow sticks
Directions
- Clean and remove any labels from the containers.
- Cut the black paper into Jack o’ lantern face shapes.
- Glue the faces onto the containers.
- Place a glow stick in each container on Halloween.
