Pipe Cleaner and Paper Snake Craft

Pipe Cleaner and Paper Snake Craft

In addition to homeschooling, I have also signed my daughter and son up for classes at nearby libraries, museums, and zoos. One class that my daughter really loves is the Animal Crackers class for preschoolers at our local zoo. At her very first class on snakes at which she met and pet a snake named Rodrigo, she also make an adorable pipe cleaner and paper snake craft.

Materials

Directions

  1. Cut the construction paper into a dozen small circles.
  2. Cut two elongated triangles from the paper.
  3. Cut a small tongue from some red paper.
  4. Use a pin to pierce a small hole in the center of each paper circle.
  5. Thread the pipe cleaner through the paper circles.
  6. Cut two short slits on the triangles near the short side.
  7. Thread the triangles onto each end of the pipe cleaner.
  8. Glue the red paper tongue and two wiggle eyes on one triangle.
