I love helping my daughter make crafts, especially as part of our homeschool preschool activities. For a recent lesson on short and tall, she and I made a set of paper tube penguins, which also make for a fun winter craft as well as a visual teaching tool.
Materials
- Paper tubes from paper towels and toilet paper
- Black, white, and orange construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Google eyes
Directions
- Cut the paper tubes into various sizes.
- Cover each tube in black paper.
- Cut the white paper ovals. Cut the orange paper into three small triangles.
- Glue the ovals and triangles onto the black tubes to create penguin bellies and beaks.
- Glue the google eyes above the orange triangles.
