Spring Flowers Handprint-Footprint Craft

My toddler daughter and I love making handprint and footprint crafts together. Whenever I get out the paint, she gets extremely excited and starts shouting, “Craft! Craft!” For our spring craft, she and recently made a spring flowers handprint-footprint craft.

Materials

  • Red, orange, yellow, and green nontoxic paint
  • Blank paper
  • Paper plate or scrap cardboard
  • Cotton ball
  • Cotton swab or paintbrush

Instructions

  1. Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
  2. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s palm.
  3. Press the handprint into the center top of the paper.
  4. Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
  5. Pour some orange paint onto the cardboard.
  6. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of orange paint on your child’s palm.
  7. Press the handprint into the upper left of the paper.
  8. Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
  9. Pour some yellow paint onto the cardboard.
  10. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of yellow paint on your child’s palm.
  11. Press the handprint into the upper right of the paper.
  12. Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
  13. Pour some green paint onto the cardboard.
  14. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of green paint on your child’s left foot.
  15. Press the footprint onto the lower left of the paper at an angle.
  16. Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
  17. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of green paint on your child’s right foot.
  18. Press the footprint onto the lower right of the paper at an angle.
  19. Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
