Valentine's Day Paper Plate Cow Craft

Paper plates are one of my favorite easy-to-come-by household materials to incorporate into crafts with my kiddos. For one of our recent Valentine’s Day crafts, my daughter and I made some adorable valentine cows using paper plates and construction paper. My daughter especially loved practicing her cutting skills while making the pieces for the cow.

Materials

  • White paper plates
  • Black and pink construction paper
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

  1. Cut the black paper into two elongated semi circles, two tiny hearts, and a handful of medium hearts.
  2. Cut the pink paper into two small hearts and a large oval.
  3. Glue the pink hearts to the center of the elongate semi circles.
  4. Glue the semi circles to the back of the paper plate to form cow ears.
  5. Glue the pink oval to the center bottom of the paper plate.
  6. Glue the two tiny black hearts on the pink oval.
  7. Glue two wiggle eyes above the pink oval.
  8. Glue the remaining black hearts all over the rest of the paper plate.
  9. Display the paper plate cow valentine.
