Netflix Announces A Slew Of New Episodes, Games And More For Their Summer Lineup

Summer is here and Netflix has announced an expansion to its offerings for young audiences! The streaming giant as curated a robust selection of series, films, and interactive games to entertain, engage, and enrich preschoolers through the worlds and characters they love most.

New content from Gabby’s Dollhouse, Sesame Street and more are waiting for parents and kids to experience. Plus, new episodes of some classic favorites and new school animation will roll out over the summer.

Expanding the World of Gabby’s Dollhouse

First up, the global hit franchise Gabby’s Dollhouse is expanding with an all-new unscripted competition series! Hosted by Laila Lockhart Kraner (reprising her role as Gabby), the currently untitled show will follow talented young baker-and-maker duos as they compete in whimsical baking and crafting challenges. Nationwide casting for kid bakers and crafters is currently underway.

Fans can also look forward to four holiday-themed episodes of arriving later this year, followed by brand-new episodes slated for 2027. In the meantime, the flagship animated series returns on September 1 for its 14th season. The renewal comes on the heels of massive streaming success, as Gabby’s Dollhouse pulled in roughly 108 million views in the latter half of 2025.

Welcome to Sesame Street

Everyone’s favourite neighborhood is getting a lot bigger on Netflix. On June 22, the platform launched its official Sesame Street collection. The collection features over 100 library episodes and specials alongside new episodes from Season 56, including the recently released Volume 3.

The rollout will continue into July with the arrival of more than 20 additional library episodes. This secondary release will include highly anticipated additions such as Sesame Street Classics and My Sesame Street Friends: My Abby Season 2.

August Preschool Premieres

In August, Netflix brings a fresh lineup of familiar content tailored to early childhood development and learning:

  • August 10 – Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish (Season 3): This preschool comedy follows the adventures of an odd couple of fish friends who introduce young audiences to opposite concepts.
  • August 31 – Sheriff Labrador (Season 2): Sheriff Labrador and his tneweam return for playful everyday adventures. The upcoming season is designed to teach children core safety tips, healthy habits, kindness, and curiosity both at home and outdoors.

Even More Fun With Netflix Jr. Is On The Way

This summer, for the first time ever, families can now stream episodes of the award-winning Bedtime Stories with Netflix Jr. directly on the Netflix app. Backed by real sleep science, the series features soothing audio-visual stories designed to help little ones unwind and drift off to sleep.

The stories feature characters from beloved universes like StoryBots, Trash Truck, The Creature Cases, Gabby’s Dollhouse, and Dr. Seuss. Prior to launching on the main streaming service, tBedtime Stories with Netflix jr amassed more than 16 million downloads across various podcast platforms and the Netflix Jr. YouTube channel.

Finally, the dedicated, ad-free gaming experience Netflix Playground is significantly expanding its library for children ages 8 and under.

Coming soon to the platform are highly anticipated titles including PJ Masks: Save the Night, My Very Hungry Caterpillar, and new titles from the worlds of My Little Pony, PAW Patrol, Trash Truck, and Sesame Street. Additionally, an all-new collection of six KPop Demon Hunters mini-games is available to play immediately.

Netflix Knows What It’s Doing With Programming For Younger Viewers

Netflix’s place in kids entertainment is backed by staggering viewer data. In 2025, kids’ programming accounted for nearly 22% of all viewing on Netflix.

Furthermore, a family-friendly title has appeared in the platform’s Global Top 10 weekly chart for nearly four consecutive years. From preschool staples like CoComelon Lane and Peppa Pig to early childhood education creators like Ms. Rachel and Danny Go!, family-centric content remains a massive destination for global audiences.
