B is for bat! Help your toddler learn about the letter B by making a fun bat handprint craft.
Materials
- Purple, white, and black nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some purple paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of purple paint on your child’s right palm.
- Press the purple palm print into the center of the paper.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of purple paint on your child’s right hand.
- Press the right handprint to the left of the palm print.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of purple paint on your child’s left hand.
- Press the left handprint to the right of the palm print.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Pour some white paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of white paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press two white fingertip prints into the center of the purple palm print. Reapply the paint as needed.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Pour some black paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a paintbrush to paint black pupils in the centers of the white fingertip prints.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “B is for bat” in black on the paper.
