B is for butterfly! Help your toddler learn about the letter B by making a fun butterfly footprint craft.
Materials
- Blue, pink, and purple nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some blue and pink paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of blue paint on the top of your child’s foot and a thin layer of pink paint on the bottom of the same foot.
- Press the footprint onto the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of blue paint on the top of your child’s other foot and a thin layer of pink paint on the bottom of the same foot.
- Press the footprint onto the paper next to the first footprint with the big toes and heels touching.
- Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
- Pour some purple paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of purple paint on your child’s finger.
- Press fingerprints between the two footprints and two fingerprints from each big toes. Reapply the paint as needed.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “B is for butterfly” in purple on the paper.
