C Is for Cat Handprint and Footprint Craft

C is for cat! Help your toddler learn about the letter C by making a fun cat handprint and footprint craft.

Materials

• Green and brown nontoxic paint
• Blank paper
• Paper plate or scrap cardboard
• Cotton ball
• Cotton swab or paintbrush

Instructions

1. Pour some brown paint onto the cardboard.
2. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s foot.
3. Press the footprint onto the right of the paper.
4. Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
5. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s fingertip.
6. Press two brown fingertip prints onto the heel of the footprint.
7. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s finger.
8. Press a brown fingerprint to the side of the footprint.
9. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s palm.
10. Press the handprint onto the left of the paper.
11. Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
12. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s fingertip.
13. Press the brown fingertip print on the thumb of the handprint.
14. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s finger.
15. Press the brown fingerprint to the side of the handprint.
16. Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
17. Pour some green paint onto the cardboard.
18. Use a paintbrush to paint eyes on the handprint and footprint cats.
19. Paint “C is for cat” in green on the paper.
