C is for cat! Help your toddler learn about the letter C by making a fun cat handprint and footprint craft.
Materials
- Green and brown nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some brown paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s foot.
- Press the footprint onto the right of the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press two brown fingertip prints onto the heel of the footprint.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s finger.
- Press a brown fingerprint to the side of the footprint.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s palm.
- Press the handprint onto the left of the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press the brown fingertip print on the thumb of the handprint.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown paint on your child’s finger.
- Press the brown fingerprint to the side of the handprint.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Pour some green paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a paintbrush to paint eyes on the handprint and footprint cats.
- Paint “C is for cat” in green on the paper.
