I am a bit obsessed with candy corn. Although I am not a super fan of the candy, I love the traditional colors: yellow, orange, and white. I have been working on crafting some new wreaths for my home lately. After a recent trip to the Dollar Tree, I brought home some candy corn colored deco mesh. I also found some fake candy corn at Hobby Lobby. I thus created myself a fabulous candy corn wreath for the autumn season and Halloween holiday. The fun part about working with deco mesh is that you can make your wreath as poofy and large as you desire.
Materials
- Willow wreath
- Yellow, orange, and white deco mesh
- Yellow, orange, and white pipe cleaners
- Fake candy corn
- Scissors
- Hot glue
Instructions
- Cut the pipe cleaners into 2-inch pieces.
- Form a loop at one end of the yellow deco mesh.
- Secure the loop to the wreath with a pipe cleaner.
- Continue securing loops around the outside and inside edge of one-third of the wreath. Alternate between the outside and inside.
- Repeat with the orange and yellow deco mesh.
- Fluff up the deco mesh loops.
- Use hot glue to secure the fake candy corn around the wreath.
- Display the candy corn wreath.
