Easy Fudge Recipe

Some of my fondest childhood holiday memories revolve around helping my mom make Christmas treats in the kitchen. In addition to dozens of cookies, my mom also made a pan or two of homemade fudge. For the first time this year, I made my first batch of easy fudge with the help of my two children.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of white sugar
  • 3/4 cups of butter
  • 2/3 cup of evaporated milk
  • 12 ounces of Toll House semi-sweet chocolate
  • 7 ounces of marshmallow cream
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Line a pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the sugar, butter, and evaporated milk in a large pan.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-low heat. Stir constantly.
  4. When the sugar dissolves completely, remove the boiling mixture from the heat.
  5. Stir in the chocolate.
  6. Stir in the marshmallow cream and vanilla.
  7. Pour the fudge into the parchment-lined pan.
  8. Refrigerate until set.
  9. Cut the fudge into bite-sized pieces.
  10. Store the fudge in an airtight container.
