G is for goose! Help your toddler learn about the letter G by making a fun goose handprint craft.
Materials
- White, black, and orange nontoxic paint
- Blank colored paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some white paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of white paint on your child’s hand.
- Press the handprint with the fingers closed and the thumb up onto the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of white paint on your child’s finger.
- Press two white fingerprints extending from the thumb of the handprint. Reapply the paint as needed.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Pour some black paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of black paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press the black fingertip print next to the white fingerprint.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Pour some orange paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a paintbrush to paint an orange stripe down the center of the black fingertip print.
- Use a paintbrush to dot a black eye into the white fingerprint next to the black fingertip print.
- Use a paintbrush to paint two black goose legs under the white handprint.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “G is for goose” in black on the paper.
