My kids and I absolutely love pumpkin. With cool fall weather finally here, I have been serving a lot of pumpkin dishes during meals. I recently made a simple whipped pumpkin using cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg. My daughter devoured the dish and even asked me to make some for Thanksgiving. I happily obliged and have added my new whipped pumpkin recipe to my Thanksgiving Day menu.
Ingredients
- 29 ounces of pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- Combine the pumpkin, cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
- Fold the ingredients together.
- Pour the pumpkin mixture into a glass dish.
- Heat the pumpkin mixture in the oven for 35 minutes or until hot.
- Serve the whipped pumpkin hot.
- Refrigerate any uneaten whipped pumpkin.
