Deco Mesh and Burlap Ribbon Autumn Pumpkin Wreath Craft

Autumn is here, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner! I love making wreaths with supplies that I mostly find at the dollar store. Although I have crafted more than enough wreaths to hang around my own home during the autumn season, I still enjoy making more that I donate to various wreath sales for local causes. After a recent trip to the Dollar Tree, I brought home some deco mesh in orange and green and burlap ribbon in brown that I used to create a fluffy pumpkin. I also added a little scarecrow and some artificial leaves to the wreath as decorations.

Materials

• Wire wreath
• Orange and green deco mesh
• Brown burlap ribbon
• Orange, green, and brown pipe cleaners
• Autumn ribbon
• Fall doorknob hanger
• Small scarecrow
• Artificial leaves
• Scissors

Instructions

1. Cut the pipe cleaners into 2-inch pieces.
2. Form a loop at one end of the orange deco mesh roll.
3. Secure the loop to the wire wreath with an orange pipe cleaner.
4. Continue securing loops around the outside and inside edge of 5/6 the wreath. Alternate between the outside and inside.
5. Fill in the final 1/6 of the wreath with the green deco mesh using green pipe cleaner pieces.
6. Add a few loops of brown burlap ribbon using brown pipe cleaner pieces in the middle of the green section.
7. Fluff up the loops.
8. Secure the small scarecrow, fall doorknob hanger, and artificial leaves around the wreath with pipe cleaner pieces.
9. Tie a piece of ribbon to the top back of the wreath as a hanger.
10. Display the deco mesh and burlap ribbon autumn pumpkin wreath.
