I absolutely love making crafts with my kiddos. I especially enjoy making seasonal crafts, autumn crafts in particular. My daughter and I recently decorated our home with some Indian corn autumn wreaths made from paper plates, construction paper, and paint.
Materials
- White and green construction paper
- Red, orange, and gold/yellow nontoxic paint
- Paper plate
- Scissors
- Glue
- Scrap cardboard
- Cotton swabs
Instructions
- Cut the white construction paper into elongated ovals.
- Cut the green construction paper into the shape of corn husks that fit over the white ovals.
- Pour some red, orange, and gold/yellow paint on the scrap cardboard.
- Use the cotton swabs to dab paint circles on the white ovals. Cover the white almost completely.
- Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
- Glue a green husk on the front of each painted oval.
- Cut the center from the middle of the paper plate.
- Glue the paper Indian corn around the edge of the paper plate circle.
- Display the Indian corn autumn wreath.
