My daughter and I have been busy the past few weeks making crafts for Thanksgiving. I especially love making handprint crafts, which help me lock a small piece of my kids in time. Recently my daughter and I made some simple paper handprint turkeys. My daughter also insisted that she include some handprints from her brother in her artwork.
Materials
- Red, orange, yellow, and brown construction paper
- Wiggle eyes
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pencil
Instructions
- Trace your child’s hand on a sheet of blank paper.
- Use the tracing to cut handprints from the red, orange, yellow, and brown construction paper.
- Cut a figure 8 shape from another sheet of brown paper.
- Glue the handprints to the top back of the figure 8 to create turkey feathers.
- Cut a small triangle from the yellow paper and a wiggly shape from the red paper.
- Glue two wiggle eyes to the top center of the figure 8.
- Glue the yellow triangle under the wiggle eyes with the point pointing down.
- Glue the red wiggly shape to the side of the yellow triangle.
