Owl Always Love YouOwl always love you, Poppy,
My little chickadee.
Owl always love you.
You mean the world to me.

My daughter and I love reading books together. Each week this summer, we have made a point of reading at least five books per week as part of our toddler summer reading program. In actuality, we often read at least five books each day. I love books, so I am pleased as punch that my daughter also loves books. So, when I was recently offered a personalized copy of Owl Always Love You: A Bedtime Story for Little Night Owls from flattenme to review, I jumped at the chance.

Every night since my copy of Owl Always Love You to review arrived, my husband has read the book to our daughter at bedtime. My toddler daughter gets so excited when she sees us bring out the book. She crawls up on the couch and sits next to her daddy as he reads her the goodnight story.

Owl Always Love You is an adorable bedtime story told in rhyme. However, unlike other rhyming books, some of the rhymes in this story are a bit more creative. For example:

Owl always love you, Poppy,
Like a shoes loves a sock.
Owl always love you
Like a cradles likes to rock.

I particularly like the first lines, which rhyme chickadee with me. As we continue to get ready for bed, my husband will often recite the first four lines of the book to our daughter, which is absolutely priceless.

In addition to the rhymes, my daughter particularly likes the last page of Owl Always Love You: “Night night, little night owl. Night night.” After each night night that my husband readers, my daughter says, “Night night.” I think she even looks forward to the last page of the story.

My husband and I both really like the illustrations in Owl Always Love You. The pictures are very whimsical and unique. Each page features some sort of owl. My daughter is also drawn to the illustrations. Her favorite is the ghost owl. Here are some of my favorite illustrations from the bedtime story:

Cow and Owl in Owl Always Love You Snowy Owl in Boots in Owl Always Love You Ghost Owl in Owl Always Love You

Kitten, Owl, and Teddy Bear in Owl Always Love You Owl and Lamb in Owl Always Love You Baby Owl and Parent Owl in Owl Always Love You

Additionally, Owl Always Love You is a personalized book. On each page of the story is a name of your choosing. As my husband or I read the bedtime story to our daughter, she hears “Owl always love you, Poppy,” over and over again. I love personalized books for kids and have purchased a few for my daughter since her birth. The personalized Owl Always Love You is another great addition to her library.

Final Verdict: As connoisseurs of children’s books, my daughter and I give Owl Always Love You from flattenme four enthusiastic thumbs up. My husband also gives the bedtime story an additional two thumbs up. My family loves everything about this book: the rhymes, the story, the illustrations, and the personalization. If you are looking for an adorable bedtime story for your child or another loved one, I highly recommend the personalized Owl Always Love You: A Bedtime Story for Little Night Owls from flattenme.
