T is for turtle! Help your toddler learn about the letter T by making a fun turtle handprint craft.
Materials
- Green, dark green, and white nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some green paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of green paint on your child’s hand.
- Press the handprint with the fingers open onto the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Pour some dark green paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of white paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press dark green fingertip prints onto the palm of the green handprint. Reapply the paint as needed.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Pour some white paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a paintbrush to paint a white dot in the center of the green thumbprint of the handprint.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “T is for turtle” in dark green on the paper.
