Paper plates are a simple and easy-to-find material for crafting with young children. While making crafts for Valentine’s Day this year, my daughter and I made some cute pizza valentines using paper plates that I had in my pantry, markers, and construction paper.
Materials
- White paper plate
- Red and brown markers
- Yellow, red, and pink construction paper
- Glue
Instructions
- Color the inside circle of the paper plate red.
- Color the outside edge of the paper plate brown.
- Cut the yellow paper into small strips.
- Cut the red paper into medium hearts.
- Glue the yellow strips onto the top of the colored paper plate.
- Glue the red hearts on top of the yellow strips.
- Glue the paper plate to the top of the pink paper.
- Write “You’re the pepperoni in my pizza” across the bottom of the pink paper.
