C is for crab! Help your toddler learn about the letter C by making a fun crab handprint craft.
Materials
- Red and black nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s right hand.
- Press the handprint with the fingers open on the right side of the paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s right left.
- Press the handprint with the fingers open on the left side of the paper and slightly overlapping the right handprint.
- Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
- Pour some black paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of black paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press one black fingertip print on the end of each red thumbprint. Reapply the paint as needed.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “C is for crab” in red on the paper.
