Footprint Snowman Craft

Footprint Snowman Craft

Of all the crafts that I make with my kiddos, I cherish handprint and footprint crafts the most because the style allows me to lock a small piece of my daughter and son in time. Last January I helped my children make footprint snowmen in celebration of winter.

Materials

  • Blue, black, brown, and white construction paper
  • White paint
  • Cotton ball
  • Scrap cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black and orange markers

Instructions

  1. Pour some white paint onto the cardboard.
  2. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of white paint on your child’s foot.
  3. Press the footprint onto the blue construction paper.
  4. Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
  5. Cut out the footprint from the blue paper leaving a small border.
  6. Cut the black construction paper into the shape of a hat.
  7. Cut the brown construction paper into the shape of two stick arms.
  8. Glue the black hat on the heel of the footprint.
  9. Glue the brown stick arms on the sides of the footprint.
  10. Use the black marker to draw eyes, a mouth, and buttons on the footprint.
  11. Use the orange maker to draw a carrot nose on the footprint.
  12. Glue the footprint snowman on the white paper.
