Of all the crafts that I make with my kiddos, I cherish handprint and footprint crafts the most because the style allows me to lock a small piece of my daughter and son in time. Last January I helped my children make footprint snowmen in celebration of winter.
Materials
- Blue, black, brown, and white construction paper
- White paint
- Cotton ball
- Scrap cardboard
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black and orange markers
Instructions
- Pour some white paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of white paint on your child’s foot.
- Press the footprint onto the blue construction paper.
- Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
- Cut out the footprint from the blue paper leaving a small border.
- Cut the black construction paper into the shape of a hat.
- Cut the brown construction paper into the shape of two stick arms.
- Glue the black hat on the heel of the footprint.
- Glue the brown stick arms on the sides of the footprint.
- Use the black marker to draw eyes, a mouth, and buttons on the footprint.
- Use the orange maker to draw a carrot nose on the footprint.
- Glue the footprint snowman on the white paper.
