My daughter is a huge fan of the Pinkalicious books by Victoria Kann. In Pinkalicious: Merry Pinkmas!, Pinkalicious decides that she wants a bright pink artificial Christmas tree. But Mommy and Daddy immediately say no because the Pinkerton family always gets a real tree for the holidays. Pinkalicious feels disappointed, but she tries to put on her best cheerful face. Then, the day before Christmas, Mommy and Daddy surprise Pinkalicious by coming home with a gorgeously pink artificial tree that Pinkalicious thinks is utterly pinkatastic!
Last year while shopping the after Christmas sales at some of our local stores, my daughter and I found a small pink Christmas tree. Then, after reading Pinkalicious: Merry Pinkmas! this December, my kids and I headed to the Dollar Tree to buy supplies with which to decorate our pinkalicious Christmas tree. We decided on some simple silver decorations, which we thought would look prettiest on the shiny pink tree. Once we brought the inexpensive but pretty decorations home, we decorate our little tree. Voila! A pinkalicious Christmas tree!
