I is for ice cream! Help your toddler learn about the letter I by making a fun ice cream footprint craft.
Materials
- Tan, brown or pink or cream, and red nontoxic paint
- Blank paper
- Paper plate or scrap cardboard
- Cotton ball
- Cotton swab or paintbrush
Instructions
- Pour some tan paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of tan paint on your child’s foot.
- Press the footprint onto the bottom center of the paper with the toes pointing up.
- Wash the paint off your child’s foot.
- Pour some brown paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of brown or pink or cream paint on your child’s palm.
- Press the palm print onto the paper directly above the toes of the footprint.
- Wash the paint off your child’s palm.
- Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
- Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s fingertip.
- Press the fingerprint onto the paper next to the brown palm print.
- Wash the paint off your child’s finger.
- Use a paintbrush to paint “I is for ice cream” in brown on the paper.
