H Is for Heart Handprint Craft

H is for heart! Help your toddler learn about the letter H by making a fun heart handprint craft.

Materials

  • Red nontoxic paint
  • Blank paper
  • Paper plate or scrap cardboard
  • Cotton ball
  • Cotton swab or paintbrush

Instructions

  1. Pour some red paint onto the cardboard.
  2. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s right hand.
  3. Press a slightly angled handprint in the center of the paper with the fingers closed and pointing down.
  4. Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
  5. Use a cotton ball to spread a thin layer of red paint on your child’s left hand.
  6. Press a slightly angled handprint with the fingers closed and pointing down directly next to the first handprint.
  7. Wash the paint off your child’s hand.
  8. Use a paintbrush to paint “H is for heart” in red on the paper.
