Heart Fish Valentine's Day Paper Plate Craft

Valentine’s Day is only two weeks away! To prepare for the upcoming holiday, my kiddos and I have been making some heart-inspired crafts. I love using paper plates as an inexpensive base for craft projects, so my daughter and son recently helped me make some adorable heart fish. Both my children had a fantastic time gluing all the hearts on their projects.

Materials

Instructions

  1. Cut a pile of small hearts, three large hearts, and one medium heart from the colored construction paper.
  2. Glue the small hearts to cover three-fourths of the paper plate.
  3. Glue two large hearts together by the sides.
  4. Glue the two large hearts to the back of the paper plate in the center of the decorated side with the points on the plate.
  5. Glue the medium heart on the back of the paper plate opposite the two large hearts with the point on the plate.
  6. Glue the remaining large heart on the center of the front of the plate with the point facing towards the medium heart.
  7. Glue a wiggle eye on the undecorated portion of the paper plate.
  8. Display the heart fish Valentine’s Day paper plate craft.
